Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in a California Vehicle Accident
The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in California he was 55 years old.
His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The influential game designer passed away following his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in LA on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and all those touched by his legacy," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
