Netflix Selects Ideal Star for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Season 3

The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, although the real showdown won’t unfold until the next season, and a beloved, popular member has just been cast.

Netflix announced recently that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Mr. 2. The role can use their power to change into an perfect replica of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. Escola, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a rendition of that character reimagined as non-binary, rather than as a drag performer, in the live-action series, differing from the source material and animated series.

This performer is joined by multiple new cast members set to bring Baroque Works to reality, such as chief the main antagonist, brought to life by the well-known actor, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the ensemble as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.

Even though the role is a major member of Baroque Works, the persona won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden arc, this marks a notable change in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could suggest further changes to the narrative framework.

Escola’s blend of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the character. Along with their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.

The platform’s adapted One Piece series is due to premiere for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
