Brian Eno Urges Public Help to Send Palestinian Solidarity Track to UK Festive Top Spot.

A campaign is aiming to send a Palestinian lullaby to the peak of the festive singles chart. The effort seeks to provide aid to people in Gaza while also showcasing Palestinian culture and creativity.

A Possibility for Solidarity and an "Unlikely Coup"

Renowned figure Brian Eno, who performs on the track, stated that the release called 'Lullaby' represents a opportunity to show solidarity with Palestinians during the holidays. He remarked the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“That would be amazing if that occurred, yes,” he stated. “I’m not gonna be completely let down if it doesn't manage to, holiday tracks are a unique phenomenon.”

Resilient Spirit of Freedom and Dignity

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who performs on the version of a cultural piece called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the song's defiant core message.

“It has a very special place for a lot of people,” Barghouti explained. “The message is that I would rather die in dignity than live a life without freedom. That is the core idea of the song; we want to live a dignified life that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Track's Background and Star-Studded Lineup

The single was laid down after a solidarity show held in late summer. First conceived to be done as a live recording, the piece was cut from the show due to scheduling overruns.

The diverse array of artists contributing to Lullaby encompasses a selection of well-known figures from the industry. All were part of the earlier concert, which successfully generated a substantial amount for charitable causes.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was crafted by a trio of music creators. The track showcases a fusion of the heritage language with freshly written English words.

The organizers behind the project have stated that their aim is to collect the highest amount for a dedicated fund. These proceeds will be distributed to initiatives supporting Palestinians through an established charity.

“We don’t have a specific target,” a figure commented. “We will pursue the maximum achievable. Of course, the higher the total, the greater the impact. It all goes out to Gaza.”

The context in the territory was described as its widespread damage, with a vast majority of property reportedly in ruins or severely impacted.

“Against that backdrop, a handful of millions is unlikely to make an enormous impact. But I think the significant factor is first of all spreading knowledge of this plight and showing that another narrative exists.”

The single 'Lullaby' is scheduled for release this Friday. Additionally, a video of the benefit event will be made accessible to view on a major video platform from mid-December.
